Cartoons are the very essence of entertaining television. They inspire our imagination and can’t help but make us smile with their slapstick jokes.
A lot of care and attention was put into the making of the really old cartoons. Some of them were very well animated with intricate plots, hilarious voices and music that followed the action to perfection.
Let’s remind ourselves of three well known cartoons that we loved when we were young. These are all classics that I’m sure you’ll appreciate in one way or another. Without further ado, here they are.
In the 1960s through to the 1980s, we followed the trials and tribulations of the Jetsons, a space age family. It seemed very futuristic less than 30 years ago.
We really enjoyed watching the portrayal of life for the Jetsons out in the cosmos, and we didn’t find it too hard to believe, either.
Watching one of Popeye’s fine episodes, you’d be hard put to believe that it was made over fifty years ago. It always had a ‘good versus evil’ story line that has stood the test of time.
Popeye always had to battle against Bluto for Olive Oil’s affections. When he’d topped up on spinach, Popeye was like Clark Kent as Superman. Children would love watching his heroics after a can of spinach.
Looney Toons has to get a mention here. It’s hard to find a more timeless show and Bugs Bunny’s character is as relevant now as it was when it was created.
Every Looney Toons episode has an excellent script and it’s clear that great attention to detail was put into its making.
Besides TV, this writer additionally regularly pens articles about the guitar chair and guitar foot stool.
