Choosing a Leather Headboard
Adding a leather headboard to your bedroom is a great way to add some excitement to the room, especially since it attracts a lot of attention. Since leather headboards have become more popular over the recent years, there are now many different options to choose from. In this article, I’ll share some of my favorites that I’ve recently come across while shopping for a new leather headboard.
When shopping for furniture there’s a huge range of budgets. Below will be a few options at different price points. The first selection is a quality piece of furniture from Crate and Barrel. It’s exclusively sold there and it’s called the Archer Leather Headboard.
The Archer Leather Headboard is priced between $999.00 and $1,099.00, depending on the size. It has a 1940′s look, inspired by a Hollywood slipper chair. The button-tufted look also includes a faint wing look, while the deep brown color provides an old American feel. The protective coating will keep the leather looking as good as new for a long time to come. I’ve only seen great customer reviews and ratings on this headboard, so expect great things!
This next option is on the less-expensive side, but of course when you drop in price you lost a bit of quality. However, JC Penney’s Nash Bonded Leather Head Board is great quality for this price range. It’s priced between $379.00 and $599.00. JC Penney is a great place to find headboards in this price range.
This board has a great look as it’s made with a beautiful arch. This graceful headboard is covered with bonded-leather which combines polyurethane, polyester/cotton materials. The protection allows for the headboard to withstand spills, sunlight and anything else that may cause damage. Inside the headboard are layers of polyester foam padding to make it extremely comfortable, so feel free to lean back!
One of my favorite sites to find a nice piece of furniture is Horchow.com. It’s considered mid-level as far as quality, since there are many options out there that would cost ten’s of thousands for this type of piece. This is the most expensive of the three and if you’re looking for a beautiful brown leather headboard, this is another great option.
Their deep brown leather headboard is called the Old Hickory Tannery Headboard. This option is extremely classy as it’s made with a maple frame and the brown leather is tufted. The price range varies from $1,399.00 to $1,799.00 depending on the size of the bed. It’s protected with a material that’s similar to a denim or a heavy muslin, which will keep this looking new for many years to come. The frame comes with an antique colored mahogany finish that’s been hand-rubbed on the piece. This is a gem!
These are some of my favorite leather boards I’ve recently come across. Prices and quality vary, but for the price ranges mentioned above these headboards are some of the best around.
