Got sensitive skin? There’s some simple steps you can take to sensitive skin care.
Some people have sensitive skin, some don’t. And there are some people with sensitive skin that neednt have sensitive skin.
If you have the symptoms associated with sensitive skin like rashes, blotchiness, redness, swelling, dryness and itchiness and more, then there is some things you can do.
Of course it may always be worthwhile seeing a dermatologist, but before you consult an expert you can try out some, or all of these remedies. Let science wait till you’ve tried some basic stuff to see if your skin conditions improve.
The first thing sufferers of sensitive skin need to do is to have a look at your current cosmetics and skin care products. Because there are a whole lot of skin care products and anti aging products and cosmetics that can actually cause the problem of sensitive skin. All those face masks and blushes and creams and so on can actually be the problem.
On my website I write about the dangerous ingredients that are found in many big brand skin care products and cosmetics.
Things like parabens. If you haven’t read about parabens yet they are a commonly found in many cosmetics and skin care products. Parabens are a range of chemicals that are cheap to use and work as a preservative. And there is quite some doubt about the safety of parabens. For example the cosmetics database lists 2 parabens (there’s quite a few) as a hazard of at least 7 or 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. 7 or 8 is “high hazard”.
And there’s no reason why the presence of parabens would not of itself cause sensitive skin problems. It may or may not, but it’s worth asking the question.
And if you change your brand of cosmetics or skin care products (or even soaps, shampoos and much more) to a non allergenic brand that alone may well result in your sensitive skin problems going away.
The writer of this article has direct experience of this. My 8 year old daughter had to use cosmetics for her first ballet performance recently. Not something that an 8 year old would normally use, but she did that day.
Within a few hours her entire face had broken out in a rash, and we decided right there not to use those cosmetics again.
So maybe it’s time to have a look at those cosmetics on your shelves and those anti aging skin care products sitting there. If they’re big brand name products they may have some nasty ingredients in them that might be causing your problems with sensitive skin.
And there’s more. Use low allergenic laundry detergents. Some contain ingredients that can cause skin reactions. And avoid washing pillow cases and anything else that your face goes on in regular laundry detergent. Make sure you rinse well and avoid fragrances, as these too can cause problems.
Fragrances can cause skin problems for people with any skin type, including oily and healthy skin.
And if you have specific skin allergy problems a good allergy specialist can also find out if there are any other products that you could be using that are also causing problems.
You need to source a range of non allergenic range of both natural cosmetics and natural anti aging skin care products.
And fortunately there are 2 excellent natural skin care and natural cosmetics companies that make fine products that will be perfect for many people with sensitive skin, and fortunately these are excellent skin care products and cosmetics as well, and price competitive.
They’re priced competitively because they don’t spend huge amounts on TV advertising and so keep their costs right down. They rely on their products to sell themselves once people have tried them.
Most of the big brand name skin care products including sensitive skin care products do very little and are made down to a price rather than up to a standard.
So there’s some sensitive skin tips. If they don’t work consult an expert like a good dermatologist, but just doing these things may well clear up your sensitive skin.
