See The Fenix TK40 LED Flashlight Review Before You Buy.

Intense light from the Fenix tk40 explodes out of the front of this super bright led flashlight.

Technology has advanced so much these days that the amazing amount of light that this thing can throw out is simply amazing. The Fenix TK40 is not to be confused with one of those cheap LED flashlights that you would pick up from a flea market.

This torch has the ability to throw a beam of light to 984 feet which is about 300 m. It has a very wide spill and the center of the beam is hot and bright. I can illuminate my whole backyard with this thing. There are four levels of power outputs on the torch. They are low, medium, high and turbo.

Seriously with this led flashlight on turbo mode it’s simply one of the best led flashlights out there. You know when you drive at night with the high beam turned on. Well you can have this thing on turbo mode and shine the torch out of the window and the TK40 is brighter than the high beam on my car.

Amazingly this torch will run for a whopping 6 days straight on low mode (150hrs), and on turbo mode which is 630 lumens light output it will burn for two hours. This is exceptionally good for a flashlight of such power.

It is by far the brightest led torch or flashlight that I have ever used or seen in person. And what’s better is that it uses AA batteries. This is brilliant as it means you can easily pick up spare batteries at any service station or shop if you are camping or going bush etc.

I like using rechargeable batteries because they are cheaper to use in the long run. I use Eneloop batteries because they have an excellent ability to hold onto a charge. You can fill them up and leave them in the cupboard and six months later they will still work.

In comparison to a 3D cell mag light the maglight is no match at all. The Fenix TK40 LED blows the mag light away on run times, light throw, brightness, functions, weight and size. This flashlight is about 2/3 the length of the maglight, with the thickness about the same. It fits in your hand really nice and is comfortable and balanced to use.

It has four other secondary modes of operation which are fast flash, slow flash, strobe and SOS flash. These functions are great to have for any night time activities where you might need to have a flashing beacon at night. And obviously the SOS flash would be a life saver.
