This article is aimed at women, because primarily it is women who suffer from the appearance of cellulite in various areas of their bodies. With a few exceptions cellulite is something that only happens to women, and this is because of the makeup of the female body in the main.
This is one area of a woman’s body where cellulite can be quite prominent, and it has the dreaded “orange peel” look. However a big contributing factor also is weight gain, and I contend that improvements would be very noticeable by weight loss alone.
So having now determined the main causes of cellulite, let’s look in some detail at some of the choices available to us to try and minimize the effects of it. As yet there is no guaranteed cure for the problem.
They could simply decide that it is a fait accompli, and accept themselves for what they are. Make sure that you change your habits and your lifestyle and exercise regularly indoors and outside. Concentrate on exercises designed to help strengthen legs and arms.
Examples of a more active lifestyle, and a planned exercise program can be relatively minor things. The exercises should be designed to help to improve the appearance of cellulite in the areas of a woman’s body where it is the most prominent, namely the hips buttocks, and thighs. All forms of exercise are beneficial, especially brisk walking whenever possible, but still the aim is to reduce the appearance of cellulite, so target the exercises to that end.
Your third choice is to try out some of the many creams that you can purchase. Use these with a deep massaging technique which will help improve the appearance of the cellulite areas.
There are other measures which you can take to reduce the appearance of cellulite, and they involve what could be termed as cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic surgery of all kinds has become much more popular in recent times, with
procedures for just about anything. Very expensive, and for my taste rather extreme, but they do exist nevertheless.
Some Methods That Can Hide Cellulite Effects
Use the Tanning Salon – Women who have a good tan on their skin do not suffer the same effects from cellulite in terms of appearance. The tan lessens the dimpled orange peel effect, and makes the skin look tauter. Particularly
effective in disguising the fleshy parts of your legs from which you have also removed the unwanted hair.
Wear The Right Shoes – Heels or wedges will make your legs appear much longer, but beware of ankle straps and flat shoes. They really do make your legs look considerably shorter and fatter. Take a tip from the celebrities. They wear heels with trousers and jeans, and have them made so that the trousers end about an inch below the ankle. This has the effect of making their legs look really long and slim.
Make Your Upper Body Prominent – You should wear the kind of outfits that attract attention to your upper half. Use jewelery, or wear something slightly flashy and alluring on your top half. The whole idea is that this will be the
focus of other peoples’ attention, rather than those parts of your body more prone to cellulite. Colors that are less bright will also help to flatter you more.
Try out a Fast Fix Treatment – Treat yourself by going to a beauty salon, and indulge in one of their cellulite instant fix procedures. These can be expensive but they really do make your thighs look smoother and sleeker.
Unfortunately these procedures only last for a short time.
Since as yet no one has come up with a permanent cure for cellulite, all your efforts should be directed at diminishing the effects of it on your appearance. Everything in this article is intended to help in this regard, but it will not bring perfection, only improvements as I said.
However until they do, and one day somebody just might, stay focussed on your overall health, take serious and meaningful steps to lose weight, and maintain a good exercise program. That way you can at the very least keep the whole thing in perspective, and maintain your self confidence at a much higher level than it would otherwise have been.
